Arts organisation Left Coast were looking for a way to visualise a bespoke Johnstone's commercial paint range in a way that would bring the palette to life. Based on an original commission by Laura Shevaun Green, each colour is inspired by real stories from Blackpool's people and places so it was crucial that this sense of character and place came through.

Working with a grand canvas of large scale dibond boards fixed to the front of Ocean Boulevard, we needed to think big to create an installation that would draw in the passerby but also make an impact from a distance. Conceptualising the palette we came up with a 3D solution, creating assemblage-style virtual sculptures inspired by objects from each colour's origin story.
