In collaboration with Preston City Council, we created a bold brand identity and destination campaign for ANIMATE—Preston’s city go-to spot for entertainment and hospitality. Located in the heart of the Harris Quarter, ANIMATE is more than just a venue; it’s a vibrant cultural and social hub designed to bring people together and add real value to the community.
DELIVERY
ANIMATE has always been more than a name to us—it’s an ethos and a catalyst for the City. We wanted the brand to feel dynamic and full of energy—always evolving, never static—reflecting a vibrant space where community and culture come together.
To bring this to life, we started with in-depth naming and positioning workshops, including name testing and proof of concept, before developing a bold visual identity that captures its spirit.
Preston has always been about its people, and for this campaign, we used real Preston residents to forefront the visuals and messaging, ensuring authenticity and a true reflection of the community spirit.
The first major brand reveal came through a striking 300-meter hoarding around the development site, building anticipation ahead of launch. This was followed by a people-led campaign featuring dynamic imagery and playful graphics, bringing the brand to life across digital and physical touchpoints. From strategic positioning to brand assets, photography, and event activation, every element was designed to make Animate an exciting, welcoming destination for Preston.
